- Perform most of the controller communication functions available in Design Pad (such as downloading a schema into a controller),
- Allow users to login and interact with secured devices,
- Configure security (for secured projects the users must be logged in with the Administrator right),
- Set initial values for unprotected variables, and
- Store a new project file path in the Workspace file when the workspace changes location.
