Chameleon modules with processors (modules other than ACP-1, DCP-1, etc.) in a node communicate with each other over a serial backplane channel within the node. For nodes with more than one processor module, this backplane needs to be terminated with the below pictured unit.

It is recommended that this backplane be terminated in the following manner:

  • Terminators are recommended for all nodes with more than 1 Chameleon module with a processor
  • Nodes consisting of 2 or 3 modules are recommended to have 1 terminator installed at either end of the node
  • Nodes consisting of more than 3 modules are recommended to have 2 terminators installed, 1 terminator at each end of the node
  • No labels
