FairNET is an industrial networking protocol developed by Fairmount Automation. The protocol is based on a master-slave architecture, with provisions for a new master to emerge when an existing master station is no longer responding.

This sub-section describes the configuration of a FairNET network. Please review section 9.2 for instructions on how to create a FairNET network in Design Pad.
