An SNMP broadcast operator sends OID information defined to the workspace in an XML structure to a device using the SNMP protocol. When the user configures the broadcaster, the structure to be associated with the operator, the polling interval, and timeout period needs to be supplied. The structure selected must contain XML attributes for OID, or TRAP and/or UNTRAP. The structure should not be considered valid if one of its members contains TRAP/UNTRAP attributes and an OID attribute, contains TRAP/UNRAP attributes and is not a boolean, or contains no OID, TRAP or UNTRAP attribute.
