Figure 5.8 shows an example Global Variable Settings dialog. The Global Settings table contains two columns not in a Module Settings table. The Network Access setting provides access to the global variable through an Ethernet SSH connection by clients using a FANDA network client (such as a custom C++ program using the Fairmount Automation Network Data Access Software Development Kit, or FANDA SDK). Multicast is checked to provide read-only access to the particular variable using an Ethernet UDP multicast. These multicasts can also be accessed using a FANDA network client.
