A Receiver that is a Server provides a value to the Schema from a Server located "here". The value may have been provided by Broadcast Server located "here" or by a Broadcast Client located "elsewhere" in another module.

A Receiver that is a Client provides a value to the Schema from a Server located "elsewhere" in another module. At the Poll interval provided, it requests the value from the Broadcast Server. The Modbus/TCP receiver allows Clients and Servers to receive information from connected broadcasters.

Modbus/TCP receivers have read access to all four Modbus/TCP spaces, including Discrete Inputs, Coils, Holding Registers and Input Registers no matter where they are located.
