MANUAL INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
It is recommended that these files be installed as part of the Design Pad installation to ensure all required external software dependencies are installed. To use the referenced zip file above (assuming all needed dependencies are already installed), unzip all the files into the same folder and execute the desired '.exe'.
Special Considerations
- As always, customers should ensure the updated software meets their requirements in a test environment prior to deploying in a production environment.
Manual Registration of the FANDA OPC Server
The FANDA OPC Server must be registered with the operating system for OPC Clients to access it. This process is typically automatically completed during the Design Pad installation. To perform a manual registry (required when you manually install the FANDA software or manually move the installation location), perform the following steps:
- Open a command prompt window (From the Start Menu, choose Run and type 'cmd')
- Navigate to the folder containing the FANDAOPCServer.exe file (use the 'cd' command)
- Type 'FANDAOPCServer.exe -RegServer'
- Type 'Exit' to close the command prompt window
