Diagnostic and Configuration Communications with the Controller

Communications between a configuration PC and controller typically occurs using a serial port connection (RS-232 or IR), or if available, using Ethernet. All diagnostic communications ports on the controller are passive. This means that they will only transmit in response to a request from a configuration device such as a PC.
