Chameleon Backplane Troubleshooting

Each Chameleon wiring hub board contains a series of Test Points (TP) that can assist in determining if there is a hardware issue in a node that is preventing it from booting properly.

Test Point Signal Descriptions

TP1: Chameleon Node Secondary Power Supply ~+25.5V
TP2: Node Position Sense Voltage (equal to ~.2V * Module Position) / Right Side of Node Position Chain
TP3: Node Position Actuator / Left Side of Node Position Chain
TP4: Low if a Module is Present on Left / High if Module is Left Most Module
TP5: Chameleon Node Secondary Power Supply Ground
TP6: Low if a Module is Present on Right / Current Source if Left Most Module

Example Test Point Readings

The chart below identifies correct voltage readings for a chameleon wiring hub with
a) no adjacent modules
b) one right hand adjacent module
c) one left hand adjacent module
d) one right hand and one left hand adjacent module.
